It's true! The hardest part in landing a job isn't passing the interviews; it's getting into the funnel! I hope this motovates readers to take the time to invest in their resume and LinkedIn, and to have a more targeted job search strategy.

Thank you for your insights, Erika! I find this to be so encouraging because it means that if I'm called for an interview, I'm at least being (more or less) seriously considered.

I also think that this has similarities to a marketing funnel, in a sense where one can create an Excel spreadsheet and track the data to ask themselves: "Okay, in the "applying-interview 1-interview 2-getting the job" chain, where am I not reaching? What are the key elements for that phase? And then work on their resume, public presentation skills, or whatever other element that's identified as a weak link.

(And the whole angle gives off major "I'm the blacksmith of my own fortune" vibes, which is definitely encouraging :) ).
