If you don’t remember who the F I am, I don’t blame you - the last time I was in your inbox was in late April.
Back then, I had all these plans for writing about my job interviews, researching career advice, reading career books, etc.
I did none of those things.
Turns out, as this whole career pivot thing was about peeling off the layers of “musts”, “shoulds”, “ambitions”, “standards”, and other things I’ve absorbed like a sponge over the years, I realized a big thing in the process:
I want to write fiction and stream of consciousness content. Maybe even some poetry.
But more tangible topics are not something I’m interested in writing anymore.
So I apologize for overpromising.
My enthusiasm got ahead of me so I didn’t realize it until later.
It happens, less frequently than it used to, but it still does sometimes; I get a good idea and then my mind goes all loud from wanting to make it happen…that I don’t hear the rest of my body saying “Yes, but we’re not the person to bring the idea to reality”.
That’s a lesson on its own right there: knowing that just because you had an idea there is no obligation for you to implement said idea.
Knowing to listen for the cues from your body on whether or not something is aligned with your inner landscape.
And I’m all about alignment right now.
I really enjoyed writing this publication for as long as I did. As so many things changed quickly, reading my older entries feels like a gentle trip down the memory lane.
Since we last spoke (April), I got my first job as a quality assurance tester in a company called Čikom here in Montenegro.
I work in an office and have lovely coworkers in my team.
I was lucky - it is the first position I applied for. I met many people on LinkedIn who sent out tens - maybe even hundreds of applications - and were still in the interviewing stages.
If you’re one of them, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I hope you find the same luck that I did.
So… What now?
I’m still experimenting with living a creative, joyful life. Sometimes that involves writing for hours (like today), and other times it involves rest and a tub of ice-cream.
I’m happy to report that I’m writing daily and have been for weeks.
I have many creative experiments I am yet to implement.
The most recent one has been a new substack newsletter that’s all about journaling:
If you enjoy journaling or tiny snippets of introspection, I’ll meet you there.
If not, allow me to wish you all the best in the adventure we call life.
Maybe our paths cross on other places, like LinkedIn or - dare I say it? - “real” life.
Maybe not.
Either way, thank you for following my journey until this point.
May your journey be fruitful.
All the best,
Andjela
